This document regulates the conditions of purchase, changes, and cancellations of the various tours offered by www.tourmachupicchu.com.



Generalities

  • This document has the character of a contract and regulates the terms and conditions of the client concerning the services contracted by ‘Tour Machupicchu’.
  • No other agent to ‘Tour Machupicchu’, can modify, restrict or extend the terms of this contract.
  • By contracting the tour, the client accepts the terms and conditions of this document.

Actors

  • TOUR MACHUPICCHU. Brand and virtual platform of MACHU PICCHU TERRA S.R.L., Travel and Tourism Agency, is an official tourism agency authorized by the Ministry of Culture of Peru with registration MA0473.
  • CLIENT. It is the natural or legal person who takes the various tourist services of TOUR MACHUPICCHU.

Conditions of service

  • The Tour Machupicchu web portal (tourmachupicchu.com) is a website that offers various all-inclusive tours to different destinations in Peru including Cusco and Machu Picchu.
  • Tour Machupicchu, through its website and social networks, will deploy its best efforts to keep informed and meet the requirements of the Client as safely and efficiently as possible.
  • Tour Machupicchu‘s virtual platform provides several means of contact to maintain adequate communication with the Client.
  • In addition, Tour Machupicchu on its web platform, in its Tips section, contains a lot of useful information for the customer about the various tourist attractions of Cusco and Peru.

About the purchase process

  • The Client can make use of the virtual platform of Tour Machupicchu from anywhere in the world to make a reservation via the internet.
  • To purchase any of our services, the Client must have an e-mail address, to which the reservation form, payment invoice, and entrance tickets in digital format will be sent. Besides, e-mail is the main way to clarify questions and solve any conflict that may arise.
  • To complete the purchase process, the Client must fill out the reservation form available on our website. To complete the required fields of the reservation form, the Client must fill in the information that appears in an official and valid identification document from his/her place of origin, for example: Passport, ID card, personal identification documents, foreigner’s card, etc.
  • Once the reservation is sent, the information will be verified and a payment form will be generated, according to the payment method chosen. Once the client has made the payment for the total amount issued, Tour Machupicchu will proceed to send the receipt by email (check inbox and spam folder). This is the end of the purchase process.
  • The Client must only be present at the meeting point with the other tourists on the day of the visit.

Payment conditions

  • Tour Machupicchu shows its prices and discounts on our website.
  • The Client can pay for his reservation using the following payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, or PayPal.
  • Payment must be made 100% online.

About tours

  • Once the Client has made the payment, a payment receipt will be sent to the e-mail address provided by the Client with the details of the tourist service purchased.
  • Once the Client has received his receipt, he must verify that the data (date of visit, name, passport or identity card number, etc.) are correct.
  • The tours offered on our web platform cover the entire Peruvian territory, highlighting the various tours that include Machu Picchu.
  • All tours are organized by professionals in the tourism sector. Tour Machupicchu is a tourist agency specializing in 1 or 2-day tours to Machu Picchu.

About data changes and modifications

  • Tour Machupicchu only makes changes and/or modifications to the tours and tourist services offered on this website.
  • The information that has been entered erroneously by Tour Machupicchu, may be rectified at no cost and in a unique way, at the request of the Client.
  • Tour Machupicchu is not responsible for the data entered erroneously by the Client, these may be rectified by paying the penalties indicated above.
  • Data changes and/or modifications are handled from Monday to Saturday during office hours (9:00 am – 6:00 pm).
  • To request a tour change, please send an e-mail to info@machupicchuterra.com.

About tour modifications that include the Inca Trail

  • Tour Machupicchu offers Inca Trail tours with Machupicchu. However, due to the rules of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, changes to the Inca Trail tour (either in its 2 or 4-day version) are not allowed.
  • It is recommended to choose the date and members of the tour appropriately.

About tour modifications that include Inti Raymi

  • Tour Machupicchu offers Inti Raymi tours in Cusco that, in addition, offer a visit to Machu Picchu. However, due to rules issued by Cusco authorities, changes to the Inti Raymi tour are not allowed (the event takes place once a year every June 24).
  • It is recommended to choose the date and the members of the tour appropriately.

About tour modifications that include Machu Picchu

  • Tour Machupicchu offers all-inclusive tours to Machu Picchu. However, due to the rules of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, tour changes are not allowed.
  • It is recommended to choose the date and members of the tour appropriately.

About cancellations and refunds

  • Tour Machupicchu will only make cancellations and refunds of tours and tourist services purchased on our platform.
  • The reimbursement is made by the same means by which the payment was made. Due to the rules of the payment gateways (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, etc.); the money will reach your bank account in approximately 1 month.
  • To request cancellation of the tour, please send an email to info@machupicchuterra.com.

About cancellations of tours that include the Inca Trail

  • The 4 or 2-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu tour is a route that the Peruvian Ministry of Culture does not allow cancellation after purchase. Therefore, cancellation of the tour by the Client is not possible.
    • It is recommended to choose the date and members of the tour appropriately.

About cancellations of tours that include Inti Raymi

  • The Inti Raymi tour is a tourist service organized by the authorities of Cusco, which does not allow cancellations after the purchase. Therefore, it is not possible to cancel the tour by the Client.
  • It is recommended to choose the date and members of the tour appropriately.

About cancellations of tours that include Machu Picchu

  • The tours to Machu Picchu do allow cancellations as long as a request is sent by email to info@machupicchuterra.com, with 5 days’ notice as the latest deadline.
  • These are the penalties for tour cancellation: o 50% penalty (refund of 50% of the tour value), if the request is submitted up to 5 days before the tour date.

Information confidentiality

  • Tour Machupicchu assures the confidentiality of the data entered by the Client at the time of booking, of the data provided in the payment transaction, and of the documents sent to our email. These will be used solely and exclusively for the purchase of the tour in the name of the Client before the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

Release of liability

  • Tour Machupicchu is not responsible if the information provided by the client is not the same as the passport or identity document.
  • Tour Machupicchu has no control over weather events, natural disasters, or social conflicts that may prevent your arrival at the starting point of the tour. In these situations, changes and cancellations are governed by our Terms and Conditions.
  • Tour Machupicchu is not responsible for the deterioration, partial or total loss of your luggage.
  • Tour Machupicchu is not responsible for the transit of the Client within the archaeological sites visited, which must be protected and cared for at all times.
  • Tour Machupicchu is not responsible for delays of the client at the time of the tour.
  • The Client who is unable to make the tour and does not communicate promptly, or does not carry out any procedure, will lose all rights to the service, and will not be reimbursed by Tour Machupicchu.
